LIVING FOR JESUS CHRIST

Living for Jesus Christ

Do you remember the first time you got saved? Many people can tell you the month, day, hour and who brought them to the Lord. Some will know every detail and can give you a testimony of the event.
Many will tell you how excited they were when they were converted. Others will tell you all the things they did for the Lord. There are numerous testimonies out there on how people came to Jesus Christ.
Some Christians, if they evaluate themselves can see they lived a very sinful life but God had mercy on them. They become a new creature in Christ. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2nd Corthinthans  5:17.
As time goes on many Christians lose their zeal for Christ and are content to live their life the way that matters to them. What happened? What the people of God may not realize is there is a spiritual warfare going on in their life.
If you do something for Jesus then the devil is going to try and upset you because he does not want the gospel going out to get people saved. He does not want Christians growing in grace either.
A born again believer may say, "When ever I serve Jesus Christ something happens to me."Some give up for a season but hopefully their discouragement won't go any deeper than a time frame.
Something bigger is going on because the Bible says, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of darkness of the world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12.

People will not stop the Church from telling others about the love of God through His Son Jesus Christ but Satan is a spirit and has his forces working day and night to do battle against us. We are in a spiritual warfare.
Have you ever noticed that often times when Christians do something for God another thing seems to go wrong? The devil or a couple of his servants are trying to distract Christians from doing the right thing. We might repeat the process and the same thing happens.
God at times will test our faith by giving us trials and tribulations. This makes us stronger. The Apostle Paul went through many trials and was tested several times.
With the help of God he was able to have victory over those problems. “Wherefore seeing we are compassed about with us so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.” Hebrews 12:1.
It is very difficult to live for Christ in this evil world because there are so many temptations. We are surrounded by many unsaved people who have no knowledge of Jesus. They are very content living their own lifestyles.
Christians have a new way of life and will lose many friends. They may not approve of their life and love for Jesus Christ and might even brand the Christian in a bad way.
It is important for Christians to know the Bible so they can give an answer to anybody who has a question. We might be challenged for our faith.
We need to be equipped with the Word of God and witness for Jesus Christ. “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. “ 2nd Timothy 2:15.
True born again believers should have the peace of God dwelling in their hearts. If you don't then that is something you will want to pray to God for so the Holy Spirit can be your peace in your spirit.
There will be battlegrounds drawn between good and evil. Sometimes our journey will be frustrating but keep your faith strong in Jesus Christ. He died for our sins and took our place. This is the message we should be telling other people.
Ephesians 6:10-18 tell us how to put the whole armor of God on so we can fight the wiles of the devil. We are not fighting flesh and blood but spiritual wickedness in high places. Also never underestimate the power of prayer. We serve a very powerful God who knows the beginning from the end.
Some believers witness for the Lord and show it in their life. They are a new person in Christ. They endure and do not give up on loving and serving the Lord.
This is not easy. In these last and final closing moments before our Lord returns for His Church we might want to consider the title of this article.
Christians who are grounded in their faith do not want to sin because they know it will hurt Jesus Christ. That is the last thing they desire to do knowing that our Lord died on the cross for our sins and endured all the pain for sinful mankind. Being pure is part of living for Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is going to return for his bride to take His children up to heaven. These same believers will come with Jesus Christ in the battle at the end of the tribulation period. Revelation 20:10.
If you are an unbeliever that is reason enough to come to know the Lord. To go up in the rapture. To come back with Jesus Christ on earth. The real question we have to ask ourselves is when we are living for Jesus Christ do we want to be followers of our Lord and Savior? This is the key to living for the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
