JESUS CHRIST IS ON THE WAY

                                         JESUS CHRIST IS THE WAY!

   Why is it that when it comes to the name of Jesus Christ the world rejects Him and as a result there are hundreds of religions, cults and false teachers that have their own God? If the name Jesus Christ is used it is usually said in a bad vain.
  There are millions of atheists in the world that do not believe there is a God. If educated people have read the Quran, Talmud and so on they do not even come close to the Bible because God wrote this book which is known as His Word. I feel in previous articles I did a pretty good job in proving that only God could have written the Bible.
  Although the Bible talks about judgment, when you read about the Person of Jesus Christ and His love there is no other Book that can even come close to this wonderful news for people in their life and destiny. His righteous mercy, compassion and salvation for sinners like us still has me perplexed but I know it is true.
So again I ask the question, why do so many reject Jesus as their Savior and Lord? God gave man a will to choose and He will never force us to do anything that we do not want to do unless God throws a trial in our life and applies the pressure if you know what I mean. If that is the case our choices become more limited.
  Jesus has His ways and He knows exactly how to make us wobble through life. If God chooses to give us a thorn in our flesh our choices will be more constricted. Suffering is a gift from God that nobody wants but He knows exactly what tool to use and how to apply it in our lives. I know because I have one in my own life. It has been over ten years and God has never removed a constant thorn from my flesh.
  Since we were born in sin people tend to do things their way. If we really stop and think about this it is pretty foolish to reject the Creator who is perfect and knows what is best for us. “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.” John 3:19.
  In 1 John 2:16 the Bible says, "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” This verse sums up all of the sins in the world and most people choose this way.
  Matthew 26:41 says, ”Watch and pray that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” This is not easy. I struggle with this everyday of my life.
  It is a natural tendency for people that when things are going good to forget about God. There is no need to go to Him. The rich even struggle more because they have everything yet have nothing if Jesus Christ is not in their life.
  The pride of man gets puffed up and often times feel they have a hall pass to do anything they want without any regard for God. This goes back to the garden of Eden when the serpent said, “For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” Genesis 3:5.
  When Jesus was here on earth He performed many miracles, healed the sick, raised  the dead, casts out demons and much more. He plainly stated that He came to save sinners. Well then one must conclude that Jesus Christ is the "Way" To true salvation.
  Jesus knew men and saw their hearts were hardened. Our Lord Jesus loves us all and it is His desire that all come to Him for salvation. People need to repent of their sins and truly come to accept Jesus Christ into their hearts as their very own Savior and Lord.
  Jesus is real and has manifested Himself in the lives of many
 Christian people when we put our faith in Him. Don't you just
 enjoy some of the testimonies you hear from various walks of
 life? I just said we need to put our faith in Him but after that He
 does all the work as we walk in obedience with Him.
  He will help us and meet our needs and desires as they come
 up in the course of life. Is there any other God that applies this
 on our journey down here while we are still on earth?
  All of the religions of this world pray to a god who does not
exist or idols that are made of stone, wood, metal or whatever
 else is out there regarding the elements but in all due respect
these gods (Notice I used a small "g") are dead and have no life
 in them.
  I like our main verse for this article. "Jesus saith unto him, I am
the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father,
but by Me." John 14:6. People want to do their own thing. People
 don't like being told what to do even if it is for their own good,
soul or eternity. They rather live in their sins and die in them as
 opposed to following Jesus Christ. There will be regret along
with other sufferings because we can not live in our sins and
expect to end up on the other side and not die in our sins.
  We have a choice. We should never underestimate the power
 of our own will. I can't call this a "Free" will because everything
has a price tag but we need to pray to God for strength to make
 the right choices for life and the kingdom of God.
  We need to pray that the Holy Spirit moves within us because
 we will take the easy way out. That way has nothing to do with
 the kingdom of God. Our prayer will be answered by God and
 He will move in our hearts and life. May the blessings, comfort
and joy of the Holy Spirit be with you.

THE LUKEWARM CHURCH

                                               THE LUKEWARM CHURCH!

There is much to be said about lukewarm Christians in this
 world today. When I was growing up I never saw the things
 I am looking at today nor did I even think about the present
 issues of our current time in my life. We just lived our lives
 and pursued life. We walked forward and never even
 thought about walking backwards. Life is now dangerous.

  I would never have believed this when I was young but
 we are in the year 2016 (Lord have mercy) and the whole
world is in turmoil. We see people doing things that are
mind boggling.
  People are getting tattoos all over their body. People
 are killing each other with no regard for life or eternity.
Abortions are taking the lives of millions of babies every
 year. People are living together outside of marriage.
 They should not be doing this according to the Word
of God but think it is their legal right.
in various ways are not doing so but only thinking about
 themselves. Christians all over the world are being persecuted and killed.
  People are losing their jobs and benefits they have worked for all their life. Extremist groups are going all over the world killing people and claiming victory for themselves.
  Many families are living on the edge. If they lose their job house payments can not be paid and they have no savings to back them up. People, Governments, Nations, Financial, Food and Industries are all failing. The whole world is in trouble.
  How did this happen all at once in such a short amount of time? The secular world has no answer although they claim they do but the Bible does have the solution.
  Now we come down to the lukewarm Christian. "(66) From that time many of His disciples went back, and walked no more with Him. (67) Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?" John 6:66-67.
  The Son of God who was in the presence of these disciples worked miracles in front of their own eyes, showed compassion, love, kindness and gave them the gospel of salvation. When this gathering left Him they were not hot for the Lord but they were not cold. They were most likely lukewarm believers.
  They wanted things old and went their way. They certainly did not want to be renewed everyday in the Lord. They did not count the cost and stay with Jesus Christ.
  Does this remind us of so called Christians today? How many people do you know today that say,”Talk to me about anything but not about God?” I know strong Christians that fell into that state of mind and heart.
  Many people go to Church because people will think well of them. I once went to Church and there was a husband and wife duo singing a song about the Lord. When the service was over the husband was passing out insurance cards about his business. So much for the gospel of Jesus Christ.
  2nd Timothy 3:1-5 describes cold hearted people of the world we live in today.
 1.”This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3. Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4. Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5.. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”
  In this cold hearted world do we really need lukewarm Christians? Many people in this world want to give a big portion of their life to Jesus but still want to hold on to a small part. Jesus wants all of us because He paid a great price for this right.
  I was just having a problem with this issue and God told me to stay in prayer before I wrote this article. One would think writing an article would be way more important but I was not right with Jesus Christ.
   Most people today have no idea. The natural man is blinded and does not see the love of God because Satan has deceived him/her into believing a lie. There is no time for God. I have to go to work, make a living, send my kids to college and then I have to put away for my retirement. There just is no time for God. What is more important? Many of the issues I just listed could be gone tomorrow.
  Jesus Christ came down from Heaven and made time for us. He ministered to people and died for our sins. He did not have to do that but He loves us very much. Can we comprehend this? I believe understanding this especially in our hearts is a progressive revelation that we will be learning for all eternity.
   Churches today have falling away from preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. When they do this they become a lukewarm church and the members in that fellowship become lukewarm because the emphasis is on social events, a watered down gospel and secular ways of the world. When this happens there is no relationship with Jesus Christ. The fellowship is not filled with the Holy Spirit and is a dead church in the eyes of the Lord.
   In Revelation 3:14-18 we read the following verses.

14” And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye salve, that thou mayest see.”
These are very powerful verses from our Lord Jesus who is no respecter of persons. In the end judgment will come to those who were lukewarm because they really did not care about God. They will be cast into the lake of fire; however, the Bible has the answer for those who honestly come to Him. “
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”  Revelation 3:20. This is the way we should be living our lives on this earth in this life. This will last for eternity. Don't be lukewarm because if you are there is no real love for God. Jesus Christ gave everything for us so in return we should give everything to Him. I am talking about our hearts for God.

THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH.

The Lord is My Strength

The Lord is My Strength

Exo 15:2-3 (KJV)

The LORD is my strength and song,

and he is become my salvation:

He is my God, and I will prepare Him an habitation;

my father's God, and I will exalt Him.

{3} The LORD is a man of war:

the LORD is his name.

Isaiah 40:31

Those who hope in the Lord

will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles;

they will run and not grow weary,

they will walk and not be faint

2 Sam 22:31-35 (KJV)

As for God, his way is perfect;

the word of the LORD is tried:

he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.

{32} For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?

{33} God is my strength and power:

And he maketh my way perfect.

{34} He maketh my feet like hinds' feet:

and setteth me upon my high places.

{35} He teacheth my hands to war;

so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.

Psa 18:1-3 (KJV)

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, the servant of the LORD,

who spake unto the LORD the words of this song

in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies,

and from the hand of Saul: And he said,

I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.

{2} The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;

my God, my strength, in whom I will trust;

my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

{3} I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised:

so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

Psa 19:7-14 (KJV)

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul:

the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

{8} The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart:

the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

{9} The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever:

the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

{10} More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold:

sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

{11} Moreover by them is thy servant warned:

and in keeping of them there is great reward.

{12} Who can understand his errors?

cleanse thou me from secret faults.

{13} Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins;

let them not have dominion over me:

then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

{14} Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart,

be acceptable in thy sight,

O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

Psa 22:19-28 (KJV)

But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength,

haste thee to help me.

{20} Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.

{21} Save me from the lion's mouth:

for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.

{22} I will declare thy name unto my brethren:

in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

{23} Ye that fear the LORD, praise him;

all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.

{24} For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted;

neither hath he hid his face from him;

but when he cried unto him, he heard.

{25} My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation:

I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

{26} The meek shall eat and be satisfied:

they shall praise the LORD that seek him:

your heart shall live for ever.

{27} All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD:

and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

{28} For the kingdom is the LORD'S:

and he is the governor among the nations.

Psa 31:12-24 (KJV)

I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind:

I am like a broken vessel.

{13} For I have heard the slander of many:

fear was on every side: while they took counsel together against me,

they devised to take away my life.

{14} But I trusted in thee, O LORD:

I said, Thou art my God. {15} My times are in thy hand:

deliver me from the hand of mine enemies,

and from them that persecute me.

{16} Make thy face to shine upon thy servant:

save me for thy mercies' sake.

{17} Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee:

let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave.

{18} Let the lying lips be put to silence;

which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

{19} Oh how great is thy goodness,

which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee;

which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!

{20} Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man:

thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

{21} Blessed be the LORD:

for he hath showed me his marvelous kindness in a strong city.

{22} For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes:

nevertheless, thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee. {23} O love the LORD, all ye his saints:

for the LORD preserveth the faithful,

and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.

{24} Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart,

all ye that hope in the LORD.

Phil 1:18-21 (KJV)

What then? notwithstanding, every way,

whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached;

and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

{19} For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer,

and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

{20} According to my earnest expectation and my hope,

that in nothing I shall be ashamed,

but that with all boldness, as always,

so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body,

whether it be by life, or by death.

{21} For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

2 Cor 12:7-10 (KJV)

And lest I should be exalted above measure

through the abundance of the revelations,

there was given to me a thorn in the flesh,

the messenger of Satan to buffet me,

lest I should be exalted above measure.

{8} For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

{9} And he said unto me,

My grace is sufficient for thee:

for my strength is made perfect in weakness.

Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities,

that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

{10} Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities,

in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake:

for when I am weak, then am I strong.

THE DARK SIDE

Monday, July 18, 2016

                                                     The dark side

America is under a great attack from the dark side.
Police killings, terrorist attacks, racial unrest, corruption
, finger-pointing, demagoguery are all part of the obvious
 problems. It seems like the floodgates of evil have been
 opened and the demons are having a field day. Some
 will call it judgment, others will say it's consequences.
 Irrespective of your perspective, it is obvious that
there are deep-rooted issues that need to be addressed.
 They are issues that have come to a head after years
 of bad leadership-both spiritual and political. Until
 there are changes in leadership, these types of
 issues will continue. We cannot keep doing the
 same thing and expect different results. This is
how the dark side arises.

The question is, "What can we do?" Many want
 me to tell them what to do. That is not my charge
, nor my calling. But I can encourage you. In the
 deepest darkest night, the ships in the ocean look
 upon the horizon for signs of danger. If they see
 a lighthouse, they know they are approaching
land and must exercise caution. That little bit
of light shines through the darkness and gives
 direction, hope and safety. Those of us who
proclaim Christianity have a particular calling i
n times like these. Jesus said in Matthew 5:14,
 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set
 on an hill cannot be hid." Ephesians 5:8 says,
 "For you were once darkness, but now are you
 light in the Lord: walk as children of light."

Those who do not know the Lord cannot be held
to the same standard as those of us who do. Yes
, they need to obey the laws and understand that
 taking a life, or lives, is wrong. But in the absence
 of the light of the world, which is Jesus Christ, are
 their hearts changed beyond the law? Romans
10:13-15 says, "For whosoever shall call upon
the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then
shall they call on him in whom they have not
 believed? and how shall they believe in him of
whom they have not heard? and how shall they
 hear without a preacher? And how shall they
 preach, except they be sent? as it is written,
How beautiful are the feet of them that preach
 the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of
 good things!"

You can make a difference. In fact, you are called
 by Christ to make a difference. Jesus said in
Matthew 5:16, "Let your light so shine before
 men, that they may see your good works,
and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
" America is experiencing a great darkness.
Within you is the light of Christ. As Paul exhorts
 in Romans 13:10-12, "Love works no ill to his
 neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
 And this, knowing the time, that now it is high time
 to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer
 than when we believed. The night is far spent, the
day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of
darkness, and let us put on the armor of light." While
 many seek a political solution to the darkness, the
 best remedy for the dark side is the Light of Christ.
 You have it. Share it as the Holy Spirit leads you.
