The ways of God

If you are one at times that does not understand the ways of God then join the club. Even the greatest theologians in the world scratch their heads at some very troubling questions that they can not answer.
The what's are written in the Bible for the most part but the why's are often left for interpretation. I think I mentioned this before but Job asked God five questions in his suffering and not one was answered. If that were not bad enough God eventually started asking Job many questions and they were complicated. When Job was going through the trial of his life could you just hear him saying," I don't know God" or " I can't even stand up God" or "My family and friends are turning on me." I could also hear Job say, "Lord I can't even think straight."
Hear was a situation where the plan of God was way bigger than Job. All he could do was suffer but in the end God restored all things back to Job because he was faithful and did not renounce his faith. This was a test and in like manner we are also tried to see if our heart is with Jesus Christ.
"(8) For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. (9) For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8-9. Look at the part of the verse that says ... "For as the heavens are higher than the earth" ... which capsulizes what God is trying to portray to us as His children.
God knows way more than we do so His thoughts are not our thoughts but the result is His ways are not our ways but higher than our daily routine. God is God and we are not.
If we are going through something Job is a great example because he struggled with his pain through endurance and remained faithful to God. Prior to his suffering he did not do anything wrong for the most part (We all sin) but God still put him through an almost impossible trial. Why? I don't know because I am not God but we can explore certain Bible passages together to get more understanding on the subject.
God knows we don't have the answers unless He imparts wisdom to us. I have come to the conclusion that we know very little and it is because we do not seek Jesus Christ who is the All Knowing God. "Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." Jeremiah 33:3.
This is not only a promise in the Bible but an urge to call on God. He does not just want to show us little things but great and mighty things that we don't even know or understand. If this revelation from God happens to us it transcends our trials and we worry less about our problems.
This should be an obvious point but Job is learning great and mighty things in heaven right now about his life and the truths of God. I have been through so many trials in my life that I can not even count them yet God is starting to show me great and mighty things that I never knew which causes me to be more humble before God through His Son Jesus Christ.
If I did not go through hard times I never would be in a position to learn from God but more to the point I would never experience the love of Jesus Christ. I would not want to go back but I would not want to take it back. There were times that I did not think I would make it but it was for the purpose of being victorious in Jesus Christ."(35) Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? (36) As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. (37) Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us." Romans 8:35-37.
When Christians talk about not understanding the ways of God it is usually associated with suffering. "Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all." Psalm 34:19. This verse does not just say some but all as opposed to people that do not even know the Lord. They are destined to be stuck in some of their problems. If there is no repentance these people will carry this into eternity. This is so sad but true.
If you are a righteous person afflictions will be common. God has put you in training to give them over to Him. If you don't know Jesus Christ afflictions may cause you to spiral into evil because the Holy Spirit is not absorbing your pain in righteousness.
If one is living for Jesus Christ then, "Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved." Psalm 55:22. If you don't know the Lord Jesus Christ there is no sustaining power working inside you so retreating inward or venting outward will probably be the solution. One group is with Jesus Christ and the other group is on their own.
Some people may ask, "How can the Holy Spirit absorb my pain in righteousness? It is in the Bible. "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Isaiah 41:10. If we are going through an affliction do we want righteousness or more problems? The answer should be obvious.
If we are Christians the key is to abide in Jesus Christ everyday. "Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: His going forth is prepared as the morning; and He shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth. "Hosea 6:3. Did you see the phrase ... "If we follow on to know the Lord?" This is an everyday process that we should delight in doing because getting to know Jesus Christ is going to give us moisture in our soul especially in the middle of our problems.
I can hear some people saying, "I do have problems." We all do and I find it very difficult just keeping up with life. What is the verse that most Christians go back to almost all the time? Some people know even before I share this with you." And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28.
I already wrote several articles about love and even more specifically on how to keep devotion with God. The second part of Romans 8:28 talks about a connection to loving Jesus Christ which leads into a calling from God but in more detail ... "According to His purpose."
Regardless as to how strange our circumstances are we must love God with devotion. We must go about His work which is His purpose for our lives. Jesus Christ will work everything out for good in our journey because He is above time. Remember God created time so it is very easy for an All Powerful, All Seeing, All Knowing God to be able to accomplish this in our lives.
I feel sorry for people who think they can outsmart Jesus Christ in one way or another. It is never going to happen. This is rebellion as opposed to obedience. I would rather live my life, go through perilous times with a devotion to Jesus Christ. I try and do as much work as I can for His Kingdom but I need to believe God will work everything out for good. I must confess I do not understand the process. This is the title of my article ... "The ways of God."
" As for God, His way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: He is a buckler to all those that trust in Him." If we are strong in our faith to Jesus Christ God will be strong with us. If we know that the ways of God are perfect than why do we have to understand this when we know it is a mystery? This verse is also saying stay in the Bible because it is tried and true. Often I have to work twelve hours a day but understand the importance of getting in the word of God because we are like sheep that have gone astray.
In the middle of our lack of understanding regarding the ways of God we need to, "Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised;)" Hebrews 10:22. I just shared with you the discipline of consistent Bible studies in our life daily because we need fresh manna everyday. With all my duties in life I still recognize the importance of holding fast the profession of my faith through the word of God. I don't have to understand God. I need to get to know Jesus Christ.
Another point that is usually not made is God remains a mystery so we will have the proper fear for Him. I'm not talking about the fear of man which is nothing more than a snare but a proper referential fear for God." And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me." Jeremiah 32:40. A proper fear for God is not only necessary but it causes us to keep abiding in Jesus Christ.
We may be in a tough trial down here on earth but Roman 8:28 is not the only verse that concerns our good for the glory of God. "The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands. "Psalm 138:8.God will do what? He will perfect that which concerns us which is usually a problem but not all the time. Why does God do this good work in our lives? He has mercy that endureth forever for us so we should just accept the goodness of God in our journey through life. We may be in evil but Jesus Christ is good and His mercy lasts for eternity.
Our trials are not strange and neither is our lack of understanding the ways of God."(12) Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: (13) But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings: that, when His glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy." 1 Peter 4:12-13.
If you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord repent of all your sins to God and come to Him today/tonight. God will begin to reveal Himself to you especially in the middle of your problems. This relationship is not only for your journey on earth but for all eternity.
